I am doing some massage at Burning Man, and what I generally use at home for my default world clients is not going to work on the playa, and I seem to channel energy a lot better when I respond to the music myself. If any of you kind souls have some chill/ambient mixes that you could direct me to, I would greatly appreciate it.

Being a massage therapist AND a DJ, I bet I have the perfect mix for you... I made "Hypnogenic" especially with massage in mind. You can download it from my website at www.stratiform.net Just go to the Audio page, right-click "Download Hypnogenic" and Save Target As: to your desktop. It'll be great for the playa because it's not cheesy, it's more electronica-centered but nearly beatless and very drifty. Let me know how it works for ya and if you want a hard copy of the CD or just want to support a local DJ, I sell them for $10 -

If you enjoy Slow Motion Potion volume 1, then let me know and I will get you links to the other 2 volumes. Just been lazy about loading them up. I usually just send out nice labeled copies to anyone who enjoys the 1st one.
I have a pretty good following of people in the Burn scene who enjoy these mixes, and I wouldn't be totally suprised if a random passer by recognized them at some point throughout the week.

Wed, August 23, 2006 - 12:36 AMThank ya'll so much for the links! I hope to be able to fully listen to everything tomorrow, cuz getting ready for BM is like a full-time job this week. But I *have* to get my music lined up... I can't massage without it.
And yes, I will be doing massage on the playa, tho aside from my tent space at Entheon Village, it's up in the air where else I will be during the week. I am taking my table, and it's portable, so I might end up anywhere.
